The tourism sector advances Goal 8 by developing the regulatory environment, streamlining licensing procedures, stimulating investment, and empowering the private sector. This contributes to creating quality jobs, supporting the growth of companies and establishments, and increasing tourism’s contribution to the national economy.

Digital transformation and the development of eServices are fundamental to achieving Goal 9. This includes advancing smart services for visitors and tourism establishments, improving service efficiency, fostering innovation in service delivery, enhancing the business environment, and supporting the continued growth of the events and exhibitions sector.

The BTEA contributes to Goal 11 by developing sustainable tourism destinations integrated with urban planning; preserving Bahrain’s cultural heritage and promoting its use in tourism; and supporting traditional activities, particularly pearl diving. These efforts help safeguard national identity and support the sustainable development of local communities.
